Russia underground by MO

A digital, pop-surrealist reinterpretation of classical art.

This project merges high-baroque composition with modern street culture, creating a new "hypebeast mythology." I have replaced the canonical religious figure with a mysterious, hidden-face character, wearing a full Adidas tracksuit and holding massive, feather-textured angel wings. The central figure floats not on a cloud, but on a custom purple fixed-gear bicycle, blurring the line between classical ascent and urban lifestyle.

All classical figures in the background are marked with black censor bars, creating a loop of censorship and critique of visibility in a hyper-visible digital culture. This work serves as a commentary on contemporary idols and the objects of modern worship.
